This study examines the relationship between sensory experiences and the exposure to passive media (watching videos of ASMR (Autonomous sensory meridian response) and interactive media (playing video games and Game Transfer Phenomena).

Who can participate in the studies?

  • 18+ yrs old.
  • People that don’t play games also welcome.
  • Not been diagnosed with a psychotic disorder.

GTP & Covid-19 Related studies

These studies aim to understand people’s responses to the exposure to digital media to inform and demystify spontaneous sensory perceptions, cognition and behaviours experienced after playing video games, so-called Game Transfer Phenomena (GTP).

The coronavirus outbreak has imposed new rules on people’s lives. A large number of the world’s population is currently or have been limited to environmental stimuli, social contact and physical movement while being highly exposed to media content.

Who can participate in the studies? 

  • 18 years old or older
  • Playing video games during the last 6 months.

Examining the effects of memory, personality and emotions on Game Transfer Phenomena

Participate in our PhD student Julio Llamas Alonso’s study at University of Hertfordshire, UK. 

Who can participate in this study?

  • 18 to 45 years old
  • Play video games at least 4 hours a week on any platform.

 What do you need to do? 

Participation involves:

  • Answering a questionnaire and
  • completing some tasks online
Duration: 
30 minutes 2 sessions.

Examining executive functions & Game Transfer Phenomena

Participate in our study at The Centre for the Science of Learning & Technology (SLATE), University of Bergen.

Who can participate in this study?

  • 18 to 50 years old
  • Right-handed
  • Play video games at least 6 hours a week in any platform.

What do you need to do? 

  • Answering a questionnaire 
  • completing three short tasks online.
